The MAPILab products won in the competition Microsoft Office Extensions

At the beginning of March 2006, Microsoft launched the next series of the all-Russian programming competition for the developers of Microsoft Office extensions. The competition is meant for those who are engaged in software development either on a professional or amateur basis, creating handy and useful in everyday use extensions for Microsoft Office (macros, templates, utilities etc.). In contrast to the previous years, in 2006 Microsoft announces and awards winners every 3 months.

Evaluating the results of the Summer 2006 competition, the jury that included the representatives of Microsoft and PC Magazine/RE, gave the first prize to Advanced Security for Outlook. The autumn competition also resulted in awarding the MAPILab company with the third prize for MAPILab Toolbox. The programmes were successfully tested for their functional capacity at the laboratory of PC Magazine/RE and were marked with the “Yes, It Works!” logo.

The grand-prix for the best software product – a PC with a LCD monitor – was given to Alexander Gorlach, the President of the MAPILab company, by Andrey Kalugin, Microsoft Office Marketing Manager. The awarding the third prize – a Microsoft Optical Desktop with Fingerprint Reader – is to take place in the nearest future.
