Does the work of your add-ins trigger the security system?
All our add-ins were developed to take into account the security system of Microsoft Outlook and none of them will trigger Microsoft Outlook security system. So you will NOT see any messages like “A program is trying to access e-mail addresses stored in Outlook” or “A program is trying to send a message from your name”.
But you should keep in mind that Microsoft modifies its security system from version to version. For example, the security system in some versions of Microsoft Outlook warned the user even when an add-in only tried to get the date of a message. So it is possible that warnings will appear after you update Microsoft Outlook or install a patch. Usually, we get these updates automatically and release new versions of our products within several days.
If you want to get additional information about the security system of Microsoft Outlook or to investigate why there are warnings being displayed (unfortunately, Microsoft Outlook does not give the name of the program that triggered its security system), you can use our free product Advanced Security for Outlook. The help system of this product contains exhaustive information about the security system. |
