What does the “number of working threads” parameter control? What is its recommended value?

This parameter installs a maximum quantity of simultaneous connections with POP3 servers. Its choice depends on the total number of mailboxes, time of their request, capacity of the server, quantity of incoming messages, etc.

* the greater the throughput of the channel and productivity of server, the more working threads can be allowed.

* if the performance indicator Mailbox process Busy stably remains high, then the number of working threads should be increased, that is, this indication shows that the mailboxes are waiting in a long line to be processed by the connector.

* if the performance indicator "Files in Inbox Folder Current" stably stays very high, then the number of streams can be reduced, since the connector does not have time to send all the messages from the folder.
