How to transfer the program from one computer to another?

To transfer a program to a different computer, you must have:

  1. The program’s distribution kit
  2. The registration code

If you do not have the program distribution kit, it can be downloaded from the web site: http://www.mapilab.com/download/

Concerning the restoration of a registration code, see the section How to restore a registration code, above.

If it is necessary to keep the configuration of a plug-in from the old computer, copy all files from the home folder of the program (by default, our add-ins are installed in the folder C:\Program Files\MAPILab Ltd \) and export the settings from the Windows registry. Export of the program settings must be performed from two branches of the register:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MAPILab Ltd

and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_USER\Software\MAPILab Ltd.

For some plug-ins, a part of the settings are stored in the Outlook profile (for example, Attachments Processor for Outlook, Batched Mail and Email Scheduler components in MAPILab Toolbox). Unfortunately, these settings cannot be transferred to another computer and must be checked and/or re-set after transferring the add-in.

Transferring an add-in to another computer with restoration of its configuration:

  1. Remove the add-in from the old computer
  2. Install the add-in on the new computer
  3. Replace the installed files with files from the backup
  4. Import the saved settings into the Microsoft Windows registry
  5. Start Microsoft Outlook and check add-in settings
