New version of Mail Merge Toolkit is available!

We are pleased to announce the release of the new version of Mail Merge Toolkit (v.2.8), a plug-in for Microsoft Office that significantly expands the possibilities for merging documents in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Publisher.

In the new version of the product, we have change the format of outgoing message from RTF to HTML, if the contents is sent as an attachment. Mail Merge Toolkit allows you to send a document obtained via mail merge with Microsoft Office as the body of an outgoing message or as an attachment. In the first instance, the body of the letter is composed in Microsoft Word along with the full set of original styles and graphic elements, and sent as an HTML-formatted message. In the second case, the document is attached to the outgoing message and sent in RTF format. This avoids modification of the original email when sending from Microsoft Outlook.

However, in Outlook 2013 the is one inconvenience when displaying the contents of the message, since attachments are displayed directly in the body of the message at whatever place the sender chooses. For example:

Mail Merge for Outlook

Viewing an email like this one in the Outlook Preview Pane is not very convenient, so according to our users’ requests, we built a system that assembles and sends the document in HTML. Using this format, Outlook displays the attachment in the standard way (in the corresponding row of the header), and the message body displays properly.

You are welcome to download the latest version of the product at the Mail Merge Toolkit homepage.
